The successful integration of iBCIs into healthcare systems depends not only on their clinical efficacy but also on their economic viability and acceptance by payors. Establishing an interactive dialogue with potential public and private payors is crucial to ensure that 1) payors understand the value of iBCIs and 2) the field provides the needed evidence to facilitate categorization of the devices and procedures for reimbursement and broader access to these technologies.

This Workgroup is focused on developing a strategic approach to understand and advocate for iBCI reimbursement and support throughout device use.
