As iBCIs move from research settings into clinical practice, there is an emerging need to establish evidence-based guidelines for how iBCIs will be incorporated into clinical practice. The entire care pathway—from diagnosis through referral, screening, and implantation to ongoing management—requires clear guidance to ensure that all relevant clinicians are equipped to handle the unique challenges posed by iBCIs.

This Workgroup is focused on identifying these critical touchpoints and developing guidelines that promote consistency, safety, and high-quality care across diverse clinical settings.
